About the Plush dolls I make:

The plush dolls (also referred to as plushies) shown on this site, are designed and sewn by me, KodamaAngel, and are MY interpretation of the individual character they represent. This means that I design all the patterns/faces (et al), as well as cut, assemble, et al each individual doll by myself. Each doll is also packaged and shipped by me usually using the United States Postal Services (USPS). I have no 'staff' to assist me in any matter. Therefore, these dolls are designed/made/shipped by a single individual. The plushes I make are intended for adult collectors ONLY and are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Each doll is constructed with a lot of TLC (Tender Loving Care) and as though I am making the doll for myself. I study the character as much as I can prior to starting any doll. This is why I require the view links I request on the order form. If no expression link is given, it will be to MY disgression as to which expression the plushie will receive. (simply stating the type of expression can not be accepted). I try to match the costume/outfit colors in the links images as close as I can and use what is available to me at the time the plush is being constructed. I don't settle for just 'any old fabric'. It has to be just right for me to be satisfied. Each plushie uses the fabric best suited to the character they represent (which may require quite a bit of hunting before finding the right fabric for the character in question)  I do not use felt as a main fabric. However I will use felt for accent pieces, accessories, fine details, etc. If a certain fabric doesn't look right, it will not be used. A lot of care, time, research and pride go into each doll I design/make.

I use a combination of Hand sewing and Machine sewing.  The smaller plushies, like the minis, are mostly hand sewn whereas the larger plushies may be a combination of both.  Here are some terms and my definitions for each:

Handmade/Hand made: Anything made with YOUR hands (includes both Hand sewing and Machine sewing)

Hand sewing/Hand sewn: Sewn by hand without the use of a sewing machine (or other mechanical device)

Machine sewing/Machine sewn: Sewn by using a home sewing machine.

Mass produced: 2 or more exact copies of an item. Mostly referring to companies who make official plushies.

Official Plush: Just that. A plush where a large corporate company produces duplicate copies of a single doll/plush in mass quantities using a large staff and industrial sewing machines.

Plushified: Plush form of a character (human, animal, creature, etc.)

Now, as for the length of time a doll takes from start to finish: This varies and does NOT start when the plush is placed on the schedule. It starts once I have cut out the patterns for the individual doll. The time it takes to make the doll depends on several variants such as: when the plush payment is received in full, other commissioned plushies ahead of said plush, detail of plush, my personal schedule (remember, it's just me making/designing these dolls) and if I have been awarded a commercial contract (in which case, the commercial contract must come first. Sorry)

If you'd like to know the available sizes, as well as some other valuable information concerning the plushies, please check out the Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) page. Prices can be obtained from the home page and will be listed ONLY when I am opened for commissions. Commission information can be obtained on the home page as well.

Remember, an individual, and not a company, designs/makes these plushies. They are NOT massed produced in any form and therefore are One-Of-A-Kind. There is no other like it.

I strongly believe in Quality, NOT Quantity. THIS is most important when I design/make these dolls and any other item I offer/show on this site as my own creation.
